July 15, 2016

Today started with 58 teams and now we are down to 22 teams. The teams in the winners bracket started the day in quarter finals, if they win there next game tomorrow then they will be in the championship game that will be broadcasted on Saturday. The losers of those games will go to the losers bracket and keep fighting for a chance to come back and win it all. This has been an amazing tournament so far with some great competition.

This tournament has brought teams together from all over the country and brought the best competition around. Some of the teams to look for are the OC Batbusters Smith they are 4-1 on the week, they lost to the Texas Glory who is another team to watch for in the National brackets. Texas Glory will be playing another team to watch the Texas Bombers. All of these teams have shown great perseverance threw rain, rain delays, and even fog. "It's a tsunami out here!"-Mother of a Texas Glory player, she was right the rain brought on a rain delay that ended in cancelation for the day but all of the teams pushed through and were ready to play some ball.

The semi-finals start tomorrow at 8AM where the Ohana Tigers take on Georgia Elite Hoover, Demarini Aces battle the OC Batbusters Smith in the American bracket. Then beginning at 8AM in the National bracket is Texas Glory Adkins playing the Texas Bombers also the Arizona Hotshots take on the Texas Glory. These teams are ready to battle it out to become the very first ever USA World Select Champions.

In the losers bracket is also promising some very tough games with some very tough teams such as The Elite Harold. They started in the losers bracket they have fought their way through and ready to battle Tulsa Elite Gold. The fight that Harold's team has fought has been great they won their first game in the losers bracket they defeated their team by 11 runs then their next team by 3. In the American losers bracket there is another team, Espirit Huskers. As #33 was warming up by hitting off a tee she said "This tournament has gotten me ready for college ball with the type of competition we have faced." They have gotten through the losers bracket with ease and will hopefully continue onto tomorrow.

As the teams get a good nights rest and prepare for the semi-finals tomorrow all of the fans, parents, and coaches pack their coolers and unpack their lawn chairs and prepare for a long day of some great softball.
